October fun!

We seemed to keep pretty busy in October and so I thought I would post some pictures of what our family has been doing to enjoy this crazy fall weather. We began the month with the pumpkin patch. Notice it was nice enough for shorts!

We were lucky enough to find a day when all the cousins could go!

Ty taking his turn at the giant pumpkin sling shot!

Daddy and the kids enjoying the afternoon....

Tyler seemed a little overwhelmed with all the pumpkins....which one to pick???

Brynn found the perfect one!

OK....we are ready to go!

The weekend following the pumpkin patch we decided to first attend Eudorafest in downtown Eudora . The kids loved the parade. Notice this time we are in jackets and hoods.......yet only 6 days later!

Tyler waiting patiently for the parade...

I think he waved to every policecar, firetruck and ambulance that went by!

And even got to sit in a firetruck!

Later that morning we loaded up and decided to visit the apple farm in Eudora....just needed a quick snack to keep us going....

The kids both loved picking apples!

They had such a great time they couldn't wait to see where we were going next......dreamland perhaps??

Later that evening they decided to sit and rehash the wonderful day they had!!
(Notice Tyler's blanket - he is ready for a certain jolly old man to come down our chimney!)

Then the next weekend we decided to really bundle up and head to Lawrence for KU's homecoming festivities......this time we had to break out the winter coats, gloves and stocking hats!!

The kids LOVED the parade!! You should have seen all the candy!!

Baby Jay stopped to say hello but Tyler ran the other way as fast as he could! By the look on Brynn's face she doesn't seem so sure about him either!

I'll finish off with a couple pictures of the kids carving pumkins.......

What a wonderful October we had......

Halloween

This year for Halloween the theme was "On The Farm"
Here was our little duck and our farmer riding his horse.....

The horse got tired fast but farmer Tyler just kept on going....

Our little duck wasn't quite sure what to make of trick or treating!

Taking a quick break from all the action to rest up a bit!

The kids were so excited to have grandma and grandpa come up for the weekend. They loved going trick or treating with them!!

The night before Halloween we got together with all the cousins...
Oliver was the tractor, Jackson the hunter, Brynn the duck, Violet the scarecrow, Tyler the farmer, Syndey the hillbilly farmer and Calvin the barn. Looks like grandma and grandpa have their hands full!!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!
